The funicular from Vieux Lyon (line F2)

The most direct and scenic way to reach the basilica: the funicular departs from the “Vieux Lyon – Cathédrale Saint-Jean” station (line D) and drops you just steps from the basilica. The ride is quick and accessible with a standard TCL ticket.

  Metro B towards Gare d’Oullins → Stop at Saxe-Gambetta Then Metro D towards Gare de Vaise → Stop at Vieux Lyon.
