Light a candle
In Fourvière the tradition of offering a candle is still alive.
Burning a candle often comes with a prayer, a gratitude or a vow to Mary.
It is both a thanksgiving and an offering to the basilica that allows it to exist. Votive candles are located in different parts of the sanctuary: the basilica, the chapel of the Virgin and the crypt.
