Masses
The mass is the source and climax of all the liturgical and Christian life.
In the basilica Notre-Dame de Fourvière, three services are celebrated every day in the week and four on Sundays (in the basilica on Feast days) by the priests of the sanctuary.
Times of services:
- Monday to Friday: 7:30am, 11am and 5:30pm at the Basilica
- Saturday: 7:30am and 11am; at 5:30pm, early Sunday Mass
- Sunday: 7:30am, 9:30am, 11am and 5:30pm at the Basilica
Masses are open to all, without registration.
The teams at the Shrine of Notre-Dame de Fourvière are delighted to welcome you throughout the month of May 2024 for the major highlights.
All Masses are celebrated in the Basilica, subject to availability. When the basilica’s capacity is reached, the faithful can go into the crypt (audio retransmission), or remain on the forecourt (audio retransmission), and receive communion.
Masses led by the Maîtrise St Thomas d’Aquin and the Fourvière choir:
Sunday June 9th
- 11am: Mass for the 10th Sunday in Ordinary Time with singers from the Basilica Liturgical Choir, Basilica choir school.
Sunday June 23rd
- 11am: mass with the adult choir of the Maîtrise Saint-Thomas d’Aquin, Basilica choir school.
The sanctuary Notre-Dame of Fourvière has no parish mission ; no wedding, baptism nor funerals are celebrated.
